Ok, here's a quick writeup.
I am currently reading a book and one of the interesting things mention relates to stress, its causes and effects from a psychological and physiological viewpoint. Here are some of the more intriguing points.
How does one overcome stress?
1. Stress inoculation
In other words, get used to stress. Experience it often, ideally in situations of little consequence. You don't be caught off-guard when the big one comes.
2. Autopilot
Practise, practise and practise. The ultimate aim is to perform that task without conscious thought, even under stress.
3. Physical training
Yes, if you are in good physical shape, you are likely to handle stress better. I believe people have always known this to be true.
